Wii Fit has been a huge bestseller! It has been hard to find the balance board anywhere for sale because it has sold out again and again. A new game that makes use of the balance board if coming out from Electronic Arts, called EA Sports Active.

EA Sports Active is similar to Wii Fit's included game, but it has more features. It is geared towards a working out all of the parts of the body, by utilizing workouts beyond the scope of the balance board. Many people think this game will replace Wii Fit's included game.

The features list on EA Sports Active is fantastic. Lower and upper body movement are expertly tracked. By strapping the included nunchuk-holding leg strap to your leg, you can get on-screen feedback as to whether or not you're doing the workouts correctly.

Now, any leg movements will be tracked, just like the Wii Remote tracks hand movements. You'll be able to workout with others since another strap is included in the box of the game.

The game includes a personal trainer, who coaches you through the game. Instead of having a bulky weight, you get a resistance band in the game. This will help you to grow more muscle which burns fat.

You'll get feedback from the personal trainer in the game based on how well you do. The goal of the feedback is to get you to a better fitness level then you're at right now. All of your workouts will be tracked.

One of the best parts of the game is the Challenge Mode for 30 Days. The hope of that mode is to get you to workout for only 20 minutes a day for 30 days to see some excellent results. Your daily workouts are tracked, along with your intensity of workouts, and how many calories you burned.

There's a ton more information about Wii Fit's EA Sports Active video game. You can see collaborator videos, the release date, preorder information and more at my site below. Be sure to preorder the game, as it will probably be sold out for a few weeks after release.

Electronic Arts, hoping to attract more customers and capitalize on the success of rival Nintendo, will release a video game next March meant to help users get in shape.

The Redwood City business (NASDAQ: ERTS) plans to start selling “EA Sports Active,” which will have tennis, boxing, soccer and other “sports” for people to play using wireless controllers attached to their limbs.

The games — to be sold for about $60 — will work on Nintendo’s Wii platform and they’ll come with a book about healthy eating, too.

Such games, popularized by Nintendo’s “Wii Fit” series, are aimed at those who want to get in shape at home.
