The Wii Fit balance board and game as extremely popular. It has been selling like crazy, and has been sold out. There's a new Wii Fit Game coming out that will make use of the balance board, and it's called EA Sports Active.
EA Sports Active is similar to Wii Fit's included game, but it has more features. It is geared towards a working out all of the parts of the body, by utilizing workouts beyond the scope of the balance board. Many people think this game will replace Wii Fit's included game.
The features list on EA Sports Active is fantastic. Lower and upper body movement are expertly tracked. By strapping the included nunchuk-holding leg strap to your leg, you can get on-screen feedback as to whether or not you're doing the workouts correctly.
Now, when you move your leg, it'll track it, just as the Wii Remote tracks when you move your hands. The cool thing is that you will get two straps included with the purchase, in order for you to be able to workout with your friends and family.
The game includes a personal trainer, who coaches you through the game. Instead of having a bulky weight, you get a resistance band in the game. This will help you to grow more muscle which burns fat.
You'll be given feedback from the game, from your "personal trainer." The objective of the feedback is to help you to get in better shape and make improvements where necessary. They also track your workouts to encourage you by seeing how far you've come.
One of the best parts of the game is the Challenge Mode for 30 Days. The hope of that mode is to get you to workout for only 20 minutes a day for 30 days to see some excellent results. Your daily workouts are tracked, along with your intensity of workouts, and how many calories you burned.
There's a bunch more EA Sports Active information for this Wii Fit game. My site (which is linked to below) lists more of the features, has awesome nutrition and fitness videos from the fitness collaborator of this game. It also has the release date and preorder information for EA Sports Active, so you can preorder your copy, just like I did.
