Lately the hard core gamers have been declaring that the era of the Nintendo Wii console is now over. Since they think serious gamers won't buy it, and everyone else has already bought one, who's left to keep the Wii console at the top of its form? Well the Nintendo Wii is just getting started - and there are plenty of people still having fun with it and planning to get in the game with the Wii.

You can find dozens of excellent reasons to own a Wii console. First, it's so simple to get it set up, by plugging in a few cables, and position the remote sensor, and off you go. It's also a breeze to play even for the youngest kids. Games range from very simple like Mario Party 8, for the kids, up to more involved challenges like Zelda Twilight Princess.

So, you don't have to be an expert, or a serious gamer, or even a parent to want the Wii and have a lot of fun with it. There's also the Nintendo Wii Fit, with its balance board, that lets you do yoga, strength exercises, keep on a weight loss program, and track your progress. There are also new games coming out like EA Sports Active that will challenge just about anyone, gamer or not.

Nintendo is keeping up the good work by continuing to innovate and think up new ways to use the Wii. For example, just released is the the Wii MotionPlus, which is an accessory that makes the Wii controller even more sensitive to your every movement. To use the MotionPlus technology, Nintendo also released a new version of Wii Sports, called Wii Sports Resort.

If you still haven't bought a console, new Wii Fit bundles are available so you can buy the console packaged with the Sports Resort game and the MotionPlus. Bundles are available not just for the Wii Fit, but also for sports games, kids games, and Mario Kart for Wii which includes the steering wheels and controllers.

And don't forget the downloadable games available on the Wii Channel. If you have a wireless network in your home, you can access additional games online like old time Super Mario and Donkey Kong arcade games, as well as newly designed games for download like Defend Your Castle and My Life As A King. Bottom line is, there are so many new things for the Nintendo Wii console, you're sure to find something fun no matter your age or gaming experience.
