Nintendo Wii Advice

September 24, 2009 by Reid Lee

The Nintendo Wii is the hottest gaming console that was released about some months ago.

Like other video games it is slightly different that makes it unique among its users.

It has got a joystick and an accelerometer.

Both of these as a unit are referred to as the "Nunchuck."

Additionally, a Wii remote comes with the set, which is your console's wireless controller.

All of this forms the Nintendo Wii Bundle.

Boundless Action

You can experience dynamic adventures with the Nintendo Wii.

Basketball, Guitar-playing, Golf, and Soccer are just a few of hundreds of activities that are more exciting when using your personal Nintendo Wii.

Be prepared to pay some extra cash for the game and you'll never have a dull moment again in your spare time

The Nintendo Wii showcases extremely realistic graphics that are awesome.

You will get the feeling that you are actually interacting with game characters.

Its in-built high-end media graphics accelerator gives that effect.

Moreover you can also enjoy more because of the superb sound quality it offers through its audio drivers.

For example, seemingly-live sports commentaries or bullet hits in the first person shooting exploits can be heard while you play.

With the controller pads and joysticks you get a complete control on the game you are playing.

You never lose the action with Wii remote.

You will feel the unique gaming experience when you compare it with that of you PC or any other game console.

Where to find them

You can easily locate Nintendo Wii Bundle packs. Go to any local shop or mall.

They will be available in specialty stores, or you may desire to order them on the web.

A good discount is provided for them at some websites.

You can get ready for the action and start searching for some good games for your Nintendo Wii Bundle.

You will never be at a loss, trust me.

Wii Shopping Suggestion

You can find net shops that have deals that are almost always better than those found at your neighborhood shopping mall. When it is time for you to buy, I suggest that you take a few minutes and do a look up on the net first.

Using the net gives you the chance to compare prices quickly and easily, so you can be confident in knowing that you are getting the best bargain for your dollars.

One of the benefits of net shopping is that you can locate those hard to find or even rare models of Wii games and accessories from Nintendo that are not available in your area. .

Visit the Updive Directory for more information about video games, shopping, jewelry, kitchen appliances and more.

Cursed Mountain set to scare Wii gamers

September 19, 2009 by Dave Taylor

Looking for something a bit less cute to play on your Wii? Cursed Mountain is a survival horror game that plays to its strengths of story and atmosphere.

The game sets you off climbing a mountain in search of Frank, your sibling who got himself lost earlier while looking for Terma, some sort of Buddhist treasure. Eastern philosophy and Buddhism combine in Cursed Mountain to create a believable and compelling back story.

As the game is on the Wii, you might assume that the lack of graphic gore is because the platform isn't great at graphics, but actually Cursed Mountain has some of the bets visuals the Wii has yet seen.

Graphics aside, the control system has also benefited from being developed solely for the Wii, with careful consideration as to how to make the most of the controller for each bit of gameplay, rather than trying to force things onto it as happens often with games ported from other platforms.

The way up the mountain isn't predefined. You can choose how you try and make it to the top, and as you move forwards, Cursed Mountain throws new challenges at you, such as the thinning of the air as you climb, making you race around trying to find discarded oxygen bottles from unfortunate climbers.

Combining new gameplay and puzzles as it goes, together with finally some decent graphics on the Wii, and a control system that makes sense for the controller, Cursed Mountain is worth consideration of any grown-up gamer.

Cursed Mountain is out 4th September 2009 and is only available for the Wii.

David Taylor is the Publishing Director for the online games magazine portal, GamerZines.com. You can find out more in the exclusive Cursed Mountain magazine, and in their free Wii magazine, PlayZine, which is a free, every month magazine available by instant download..

Wii Fit and Wii Games

September 14, 2009 by Vic Jonson

by Victor Jonson

Games are becoming available every day and I am sure the games won't die out like some game stations. As more consoles are sold, more games and better games are being developed for Wii. So the best game makers gravitate to the consoles that seem to specialize in the kinds of games they like.

I placed an order online and received my Wii Fit Starter Bundle in the mail three days later. I couldn't contain my excitement while opening the package. The package included my long-awaited Wii Fit game and Balance Board. I already got my Wii game console earlier this year along with all the necessary accessories such as the Wii remotes and nunchuck, so I was ready to start playing Wii Fit right away.

For those that are interested in downloading Wii video games, there are some things to keep in mind. 1st of all, not all download sites are created equal. Some that offer free downloads are just scams that suck you in to there site.

The pressure-sensitive balance board that comes with the Wii Fit Starter Bundle can hold up to a maximum of 300 pounds. Since quite a few of the Wii Fit games are based on player's balance of her body, this is where the balance board comes in. Similar to a step aerobics board in appearance, the Wii Fit Balance Board can also measure player's performance as well as weight, which alongside the height, age and gender determine the player's Body Mass Index (BMI).

The Nintendo Wii is a great console for casual gamers since the Wii games are all about fun. Innovative controllers from Nintendo bring in an element of fun in the games. Although beautiful games are fun to show off to jealous friends, are they actually fun to play. Multiplayer modes are fun and the way the graphics and sound combine is one of this game's greatest features. The reason the Wii sells so well is because their user base of everyone, their parents, grandparents, and a monkey that likes to play fun, albeit usually simple games is what makes them so popular, and why they don't need a heavier, more adult M rated game, and why the M-rated games aren't selling.

Another type of site that you should look out for, is the site that just looks bad. Often a plain looking site that has a long list of Wii video games with no pictures and no testimonials. You want to see that other gamers have actually downloaded from the site. There should be demonstrations of what the downloading process is like. Wii download sites are sites that will offer you access to a database of Wii video games. So therefore, the site should offer you software that makes downloading the wii games safe and easy. Sites that dont are not real Wii download sites. There are so many Wii video games , that a site not offering download software, is most likely a scam. So steer clear.

The games in Wii Sports are based more on motion, whilst the games on Wii Play are based mostly on pointing. Unfortunately, the sports games in Wii Sports are simple to the extreme. I think the reason the Wii sports are the hit is that there is no learning curve involved. But some physical therapists and hospitals are realizing that games such as Wii golf and Wii boxing can help injured patients of all ages get back strength, balance, flexibility, and other functions.

And lastly, look for other types of Wii downloads and never pay a monthly fee. The best Wii download sites offer not only Wii video games, but Movies , Music , T.V., and more. With so many Wii downloads, it just makes sense that quality sites offer the complete package. And not for a monthly fee. I have seen some awesome download sites accross the web, and although some offer a cheap monthly plan, the best offer a 1 time payment with free upgrades for life.

Before you make any assumptions that it costs a heapload to actually download Wii game online, you need to know that there are many Wii games download sites that provides unlimited downloadable Wii games, with just only a one time payment. Hence, I'd say, it's literally free to download your Wii games.

It is superbly simple to start downloading your downloadable Wii games, not to mention movies, musics, and TV shows. Once you signed up to the best Wii games download sites, there will be step-by-step walkthroughs to guide you through the downloading, burning and transfering process from your computer to your Wii console. One word of advise, is to read carefully the terms and conditions of the Wii games download sites.

The Dangers of Using A Nintendo Wii

by Steve Brener Roy Breet Kevin Risse

Is the Nintendo Wii the most dangerous computer games console of all time? Well, you've no doubt heard or seen some of the news stories that advocate it probably is. The physical threat factor stems from the method you manage the game controller that comes with the console.

In an endeavor to make a more natural way of affecting the onscreen action, Nintendo have given you a controller that you move to and fro around as you play. So, for case in point, if you were playing a computerized game of tennis, you would swing the controller as if it were a tennis racket in a genuine game of tennis. This introduces a great deal better interactivity and nearly all players have reacted very kindly to this.

This fresh means of using the game controller is without doubt distinctive to the Nintendo Wii and makes it stand out from the existing crop of computer gaming consoles, but it has caused troubles - and even substantial injury - to a minority of users who've failed to use the correct level of concern.

Injuries caused by the use of the Nintendo Wii fall principally into two categories: 1) Injuries to players themselves straining muscles etc. that they aren't used to using, and 2) Injuries to innocent bystanders who've been whacked in numerous parts of their anatomy by flailing games players and airborne controllers.

If you would like to put a stop to injury to yourself from playing games on the Nintendo Wii then you ought to use a warm up routine similar to that practiced by an athlete. Don't chuckle! Perhaps it does sound somewhat silly to be warming up physically before playing computer games but, sincerely, a routine of stretching exercises ahead of playing will ensure that your body is warmed up as it should be and will assist avoid strained muscles, ligaments and tendons.

To preclude injury to yourself if you're in the area of a Nintendo Wii player, the best thing you can do is to stand as faraway out of harms way as possible. If you're the player and there are others sharing the area with you then just apply rational caution. A little of common sense is more often than not all it takes to avert accidents.

On of the commonest causes of Nintendo Wii injuries is failing to make certain that the strap that goes around your wrist from the games controller is suitably secured. An unsecured Nintendo Wii games controller can simply slip out of your clutch and strike someone.

You should make sure to confirm the games controller wrist strap at recurrent intervals and get a replacement if the original shows any signs of wear and tear.

As long as you adhere to the above tips and exercise due prudence when playing with your Nintendo Wii, your computer game playing should be as pleasurable and safe as possible.
